Adaptive Knowledge Base

Crosswise's foundation is a knowledge base that serves as the intelligence center, or brain, of your AI teammate. As you interact with your Crosswise instance, your knowledge base will automatically categorize new information and adapt.

Your knowledge base comes pre-filled with information that we keep up-to-date, as well as a document structure that adapts to your specific operations.

* State & Federal Regulations and Guidance
* Templates & Examples for policies, standards, procedures, and more
* Sample workflows for common compliance tasks

The best part is your knowledge base is always up-to-date and audit ready.

How does it work?

Imagine a giant library filled with documents and spreadsheets. When you interact with Crosswise, we automatically figure out which documents to reference, and when you share information, we automatically figure out where and how to categorize that document so that knowledge will be available in all future interactions.

For example, say you're chatting with Crosswise and send it a piece of marketing content with the message "Does this look ok?" Crosswise will scan the attachment you sent, use the knowledge base to figure out that it's marketing, and then go and retrieve your marketing policies and procedures from the shelves before evaluating the content itself.

When you have a new marketing policy or procedure, you can just send it over to Crosswise and your teammate will automatically update and version the policy to the version you shared (assuming you have the right permissions).

Finally, in addition to Crosswise staying up-to-date with information you share, Crosswise also automatically scans government sites and APIs for updates to regulations and enforcement actions, and will ensure that your policies and procedures are triggered for any relevant updates.

Do-Anything Workflow Engine

Workflows sit on top of your Knowledge Base in Crosswise, and are used to automate any repeatable process.

Repeatability, Consistency, and Predictability are the key attributes of Workflows. Crosswise Workflows are designed to ensure consistently correct results by leveraging (1) your existing Knowledge Base, (2) fine-tuned prompts, and (3) explicit constraints that keep AI focused on precise tasks.

Crosswise's Workflow engine consists of different nodes that can be configured and connected to create a digital representation of any process. We support a large and growing library of nodes that can do anything from read and extract information from documents, images, and pdfs, to triggering emails or issues, to creating CSVs and evaluation checklists.

For example, if you have a process where an employee reads a pdf to information, then evaluates that information against a policy, and then creates an issue if there's a policy violation, Crosswise would create a workflow with a PDF extraction node, followed by a reference to your policy and procedure, followed by a trigger to create an issue if certain conditions are met.

Conversational Interfaces

If you already know how to have a conversation over Teams, Slack, or Email, then you don't need to learn anything new in order to get the most out of Crosswise.

Crosswise integrates into your existing tools, so you can simply interact with it like you would a remote teammate (who never sleeps...).

Simply send a message from your channel of choice, and Crosswise will understand who you are and what permissions you have, and then use context from the knowledge base and workflows to complete any request.

In general, Crosswise can do these things completely via chat interactions:

* Edit its Knowledge Base. You can tell Crosswise, "here's an updated version of the policy," "update this risk," "update our procedures to match this template," "we just launched a mortgage product in CA, please add all the relevant regulations to our inventory, and then add or update the relevant Risk Statements" and Crosswise can update its knowledge. Any time it has questions or clarifications, it will ask.

* Execute, create, or modify Workflows. If you need a new workflow, you can tell Crosswise, "here's my procedure for testing Regulation CC holds. Please turn it into a workflow," or if you already have a workflow, you can forward an excel sheet to Crosswise and say "Please test these complaints for any policy violations" and Crosswise will find and execute the proper workflow. You can also modify workflows with prompts like "please add a column with a summary of each complaint to your output."

* Co-author Documents & Reports. You can chat with Crosswise and mention things like "I need a new Regulation E Policy" and Crosswise will walk you through the applicability analysis and then co-author the document according to your policy template.

* Answer open-ended questions. Ask about existing knowledge ("What's the latest version of my policy?" "What risks do I have?" "What are the gaps between this vendor's diligence questionnaire and my policies?") or evaluate hypotheticals ("What new regulations would be triggered if we expanded to New York?"). The world is your oyster.
